A few of our CD-ROMs feature slideshows......
but to view them, you're going to need a program that can read
files in Microsoft's PowerPoint format.
Between the Lakes Group is pleased to provide a
program that does that -- free -- on each CD-ROM we ship that contains
a slideshow, just in case you
do not already have one.
Please note that if you already
have Microsoft's Office suite installed, or if you have
OpenOffice,
the free open-source alternative to Microsoft Office, you already have the
capability of reading PowerPoint files and showing slide shows in
PowerPoint format -- so you don't need to install
the PowerPoint Reader..
To install the Microsoft® PowerPoint®
Reader program on your PC, go back to the CD-ROM, and look at the page
called "Administrative matters" or something similar.
On that page you'll find a link to the
free PowerPoint Reader program. Follow the link and install the
program. In all likelihood your problem will be solved.
If you prefer to try OpenOffice, the free
open-source office program, simply go to their website,
www.openoffice.org and download and install their suite of
programs.
